On July 31th, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published a list of ‘best practices’ on how food safety experts should inspect US businesses that manufacture, process and package food, including dog food.
For 5 years this has been discussed by federal and state officials and as such this is not a direct consequence of the melamine and botulism related dog food recalls the US faced this year. It just comes at an opportune moment.

Amazing tree climbing dog. Teach your dog a new trick or two, but be carefull. I heard he fill out of the tree a few times.

This is me watching the evil squirrel. He lives in the trees and walks across the fence to the other side of the yard. Every now and then he sneaks into the yard to bury walnuts in the flower beds. I have my eye on this one. He is a bad squirrel. He is very mean to other squirrels and yells at them to get out of his tree. I might catch him one day. Then there is the black cat. He runs through the yard and I chase him. I wouldn’t hurt him but it’s just in me to chase little things that run. I can’t help myself. There are also a flock of rogue parrots that hang out in our neighborhood. My humans are tryng to get pictures of them. They are very loud but I like them better than crows because they are pretty colors. This week two very nice butterflies have taken a liking to our peach tree. They float around me when I lay by the tree waiting for the evil squirrel.
