Every week Euro Puppy showcases a dog lamp. Is it tacky or wacky? We will leave it up to you to decide. While having our own beliefs, we would love your comments...Enjoy....
Lookie who's occupyin ma room!
Children who have been read bed time stories about dogs behaving and talking like humans can easily relate to this one. The large eyes and the human poise can make any child's imagination take over and treat him as his very own friend.

A big part of this blog is promoting animal welfare, by spreading the word for rescue groups, wildlife groups, and other animal lovers. So if you are part of an animal welfare group, send me your events and rescue stories to help spread the word. I am happy to pass this information on in the effort to promote animal welfare, and it also helps your website gain exposure.
Another thing that I am happy to do is to help promote companies that make great products for pets and pet parents. Every now and then you may see a product or website review on this blog, hopefully you will find them helpful. If you are a company that would like to have a product featured here, please contact me for details on how that works.

“Scooby” is one of our very famous dogs in the whole Sit Means Sit dog training organization. Not only do a lot of our graduates hear stories about Scooby before they even get out of our dog trainers school, but everyone loves stories about Labrador Retrievers. Now Scooby is even more famous by being in a country music video by the group Crossin Dixon ! Their new song ‘I love my old bird dog’, has Scooby (he’s the yellow lab, not the singers :-), in some of the scenes in their music video. You can see the video by going to this blog that is about car racing, and scrolling down to see the video called “I love my old bird dog”. You can find the link HERE. Scooby is owned by Carla Collins from our Dallas Texas Location. Scooby is also a certified FEMA dog, and past both of his difficult tests on the first try! Carla Collins also travels a good bit of the country doing Sit Means Sit dog training seminars on a variety of things. Keep an eye on our seminars/events page, to see when Carla and Scooby come to your town!

For the sake of keeping us all together and making new friends in the pet blogosphere I have started talking about my favorite pet blogs once a week.
My favorite this week is the always entertaining Dogs Aye View. Penned by two mutts, Gomer and Opie, Dogs Aye View is about their lives with DogMom and all their adventures. Their most recent adventure…Opie’s forays into the wild (he likes to run away when he sees something that catches his fancy.) Opie ran away three times in one week recently! He has pulled out his stake (that he is chained to with a dog run) and is a force to be reckoned with!

Our very good friend, Everett Police K-9 handler Suzanne Eviston and her K9 Axle are pictured here still alive and well. Suzanne was t-boned by a Burglary suspect who was fleeing the scene of a crime high on Meth. The suspect had been granted “drug court” which enables him to be in the community instead of serving time for his other numerous crimes, so he was very motivated not to be apprehended.

We wanted to share with you one of our recent success stories. Jackson was recently trained and rehabilitated by Linda Taylor, who works with our clients in the Charlotte, Pineville, Matthews, Huntersville, Mooresville, and the Lake Norman area. You can see the results of our training methods and behavior modification programs in this video of Jackson.
I first met the little dog at his home in Mooresville, NC. His owner had contacted me regarding his aggressive behavior towards her and mostly towards her husband. The Jack Russell was very aggressive towards the husband, growling and biting whenever he got tired of being petted or tired of being disciplined. The owners were told by a dog trainer in Mooresville, NC that the dog could not be “fixed” and that they needed to put him to sleep He handed them a remote collar and ended the session (without even teaching them how to use the tool). I evaluated the dog and decided he could be “fixed” with time and care. His owners would need to change the way they interacted with the dog in order for them to all live in harmony.

Are you thinking of applying for a credit card? Maybe you have been wondering whether you should apply for one when there are so many horror stories of people getting into debt because of credit cards. Well, to put it simply, you should really apply for one. The problem that people get into credit card debt does not lies with having a credit card itself but more to do with the purchasing or spending habits of the cardholders themselves.
In fact, there are many ways you can benefit from having a credit cards. One of them is through the many cash rebates banks offered. Others may be through the discounts offered by merchants and more. As you can see, the real problem lies with the card holders themselves.

Congrats to The Poodle and Dog Blog… their human won the copy of Ask Now The Beasts. Be sure to head over to her blog, she always has great stories, including a very important story about PETA. Here is a quote to peak your curiosity:
According to PETA’s own records that they recently submitted nine months after a Virginia government agency deadline, PETA killed 97% of the companion animals it took in for adoption in 2006.
Congrats on the win, and keep up the great work on your blog!

We have a bird and a rat. The rat has been part of our family for a little over a month now. We have tried to introduce the bird and the rat to each other, and they tolerate each other. However, it turns out that our bird is very territorial. We always suspected this about her, since she loves to yell if you mess with her stuff.
One of the things we were hoping for is that they would keep each other entertained in the day time when we are gone. And while the bird does enjoy watching the rat run around, she really only tolerates it for a time, then she starts getting loud.
