Highland Canine Training, LLC started 2009 will a successful round of group classes in January and February held in Mooresville. Because of the request for more classes, we have schedule more group training.

Advanced Obedience Class is for the person who would like to have their dog trained off leash and under voice control. Your dog must know sit, down, come and heel on leash before beginning this course. We will teach how to gain your dogs focus so that your dog will successfully obey the above commands off leash.

Therapy Dog Class is a class that will specifically train you and your dog how to provide comfort and affection to people in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, retirement homes, etc.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class is an excellent way to start your puppy off on the right foot. The focus of the class is socialization, training the basic commands, proper play and exercise and owner responsibility. Each student will receive a S.T.A.R. Puppy handbook and be eligible to receive a S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate and medal upon the completion of class.

Basic Obedience Class is good for the dog that pulls on a leash, doesn’t want to listen to commands or doesn’t know sit, down, come, stay and heel, and/or having behavior issues like jumping on people, barking, aggression, etc.

Tracking for Fun Class is for those dog owners who would like to teach their dogs to track for fun or competition. Ever though of doing Search and Rescue or getting a tracking dog title? This class would be a great place to start! We have trained all sorts of breeds to track, from Daschunds to Bloodhounds.

Introduction to Herding Group Class is great for owners and dogs that would like to learn herding. This class is designed to provide the fundamentals of herding training and to give the dog the skills to fetch, herd and pen sheep. This class is a great opportunity for both physical exercise and mental stimulation for any dog.
