Military dogs are dogs that are used to complement the various tasks that are needed to carry out a military operations. To some, this may seem to be contrary to humanitarian principles. But I look at it like this - This is how dogs first evolved - as a companion in hunting, and in fact, gun dogs like the Hungarian Vizsla are in use by even non military personnel.

A big part of this blog is promoting animal welfare, by spreading the word for rescue groups, wildlife groups, and other animal lovers. So if you are part of an animal welfare group, send me your events and rescue stories to help spread the word. I am happy to pass this information on in the effort to promote animal welfare, and it also helps your website gain exposure.
Another thing that I am happy to do is to help promote companies that make great products for pets and pet parents. Every now and then you may see a product or website review on this blog, hopefully you will find them helpful. If you are a company that would like to have a product featured here, please contact me for details on how that works.

Truth about Caring for Dogs that are Hypoallergenic for Humans
Hypoallergenic dog breeds have special needs because they are usually smaller in size and have temperaments that may be difficult to handle sometimes. When you first bring your new dog home, you should allow it to roam around to get an idea of its surroundings. If you have other pets, you should put them in another room while the dog is investigating the area. Depending on the breed of dog, they may be very scared at first. They may not want much human contact, so you should be careful about handling them too much during the first few days they are in your home.

Which certificates do they have?Do they work with certified suppliers only? Are all feed ingredients labeled with a certificate that ensures quality and states the origin of the ingredient? From which countries are ingredients imported? Are all ingredients checked for quality and micro-organisms before processing them into dog food? Are end products checked before distribution?

Our very good friend, Everett Police K-9 handler Suzanne Eviston and her K9 Axle are pictured here still alive and well. Suzanne was t-boned by a Burglary suspect who was fleeing the scene of a crime high on Meth. The suspect had been granted “drug court” which enables him to be in the community instead of serving time for his other numerous crimes, so he was very motivated not to be apprehended.

Would you ever knowingly feed your dog another dog? Most people would be really shocked at even the thought of such a thing, yet these are some of the things that the dog food companies are actually feeding to your pets every day. If you look on the side of a dog food bag at the ingredients you’re only really given a partial story of what actually goes into the food that you are feeding your dog. Many people would be surprised, if not even shocked at what goes into average bag of dog food. The problem really lies in that the regulations for dog food are much more lenient than the regulations for human food. Here are some other things that you should know about dog food products.
