Camp Humane, June 18-22, 8-10 years old and July 16-20, 11-13 years old

From 9am - 5pm
During a typical day, campers receive humane education, workshops from veterinarians or animal experts, and several animal classes designed to foster a special appreciation for animals. Campers are placed in teams of eight with counselors assigned to each team. Camp cost is $225 and includes 2 snacks and lunch. Space is still available for both camps. Stop by and pick up a registration form at the front desk here at the shelter from noon to 7pm, Tuesday thru Sunday. T.W. Enterprises of Ferndale, Washington is recalling its entire line of dog and cat treats because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
Symptoms to watch out for are: Anorexia, diarrhea, lethargy, vomiting, changes in water consumption and urination habits. The lethal feature of the toxin is kidney failure. If you suspect these symptoms are related to commercial dog food that you are feeding your dog, you should immediately take your dog to the nearest veterinarian or animal hospital.
