The Brazilian black Labrador dug furiously at the wet earth, slinging clods of dirt behind him, but this was no typical neighborhood canine looking for a buried ham bone.

The Humane Society of Iredell and the Mooresville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its second annual Dog Walk and Dog Show. The event will be on Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 2:00 P.M., at North Main Park, 1474 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC. This fun-filled event will include a dog walk starting at 2:30 p.m. A dog show will be open to the public and will begin at 4:30 p.m. with categories such as, best dressed dog, best looking and best trick. Vendors will be displaying products and services, demonstrations on dog training, seminars on pet care, adoption center and more. There will also be a raffle and prizes awarded for “Top Walkers” and “Best Dog”
