Knowledge of pet nutrition is increasing every year and not all experts agree with each other on how certain data should be interpreted. One group supports the ‘scientific assembly theory’ where a diet can be scientifically engineered. Composed of all required nutrients, coming from a range of different sources and on a mathematical level everything your dog needs is present. A second groups theorizes that Mother Nature will always beat science. This school of thought we can call the ‘natural or holistic theory’. Human grade ingredients are used and any meat-by products or artificial additives or preservatives are avoided.

Here is another free dog food recipe.
2 chicken thighs — or white meat
1 stalk celery — sliced thick
3 carrot — peeled and halved
2 small potatoes — peeled and cubed
2 cups rice — uncooked
Place chicken pieces in large pot. Cover with cold water (5 -6 cups). Add carrots, celery, and potatoes to water. Add salt to taste if you want. Cover and simmer on low heat about 2 hours until the chicken becomes tender. Add the rice, cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove soup from heat. Pull the chicken meat off the bone (MAKE SURE TO DO THIS, DOGS CAN CHOKE ON BONES), discard bones. Return shredded pieces to pot. Stir well. Let cool. Store in the refrigerator or freeze.

Are you thinking of applying for a credit card? Maybe you have been wondering whether you should apply for one when there are so many horror stories of people getting into debt because of credit cards. Well, to put it simply, you should really apply for one. The problem that people get into credit card debt does not lies with having a credit card itself but more to do with the purchasing or spending habits of the cardholders themselves.
In fact, there are many ways you can benefit from having a credit cards. One of them is through the many cash rebates banks offered. Others may be through the discounts offered by merchants and more. As you can see, the real problem lies with the card holders themselves.

Here are a few more homemade dog food recipes for your use!
DOGGIE BROWNIES
3 to 3 1/2 lbs of liver, beef or chicken
1 C whole wheat flour
4.25 oz jar fresh minced or crushed garlic
2 C white flour
1/2 C corn meal
1 med shaker of grated parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover cookie sheet with foil, coat with cooking spray, sprinkle lightly with corn meal and set aside. Process liver and garlic in food processor or blender until it looks like milk chocolate. Pour into large mixing bowl and blend in the rest of the ingredients. Spread evenly onto cookie sheet (the mixture will be thick) and sprinkle lightly with corn meal. Bake until no pink is left. I usually bake them for about 30 min for one pan and then turn the oven off but leave the brownies inside until they are cool. Cut in pieces, and you’re done!!!

I guess this is the first post on dog food blog that has nothing to do with dog food. However, I think this is important enough to share with all dog owners so please allow for a little side step.
It’s nearly 2008 and we welcome the New Year with a lot of fireworks. For a lot of animals this is not a pleasant time of the year. The unexpected loud bangs and flashes scare them. Some dogs do fine and don’t seem to notice the fireworks. But still, fear of fireworks is fairly common. Dogs that are afraid show signs such as shaking, trembling, more drooling than usual, some dogs start barking or howling, others may try to hide or get away. Also you dog may loose bladder or bowel control or experience temporary diarrhea because of the stress.
